Indian Express has published a news item thatThe Andhra Pradesh (AP) Government of India, has planned to establish an Industrial plant in Sri Lanka. It has also said that the Sri Lankan Government is taking action to grant the land for this in Jaffna or Trincomalee.
The Andhra state’s Minister of Industries, Amarnath Reddi had held negotiations with the Sri Lankan Government regarding the implementation of the project. A memorandum of understanding regarding this will be signed in the next few weeks
Aanthra state Officials have said that the Andhra state Government is eager to conduct trade in Sea food, medicine and tourism sectors with Sri Lanka which has sea borne transport facilities.
It is also notable that, Sri Lanka Government had planned invest in Aathra state in clothes and air transport sectors through a Mutual Commercial Agreement.
