Angel’s Simron in Sri Lanka Basketball Team

Yovanthan Simron of the Manipay Angel International School has been selected for the under 19 team of the Sri Lankan Basketball Federation.

Simron has been selected to play in Sri Lankan National under 18 team which will participate in the Asian Championship to commenced on 9th of July.

Simron is the first ever Basketball player to be selected to the National team from a school in the Northern Province. He has many achievement to his credit under the coaching of Jeyabalan Jesinthan.

The Manipay Angel School has won the Championship in the National level 7th Rev.Fr. Herbert championships held recently. Simron was identified talented Basketball player in that tournament. He was identified as a good player in the Selection for National team and has been inducted into the National pool.

All over Sri Lanka International School in the provinces are inducted into the provincial championships held respective provinces. However the Manipay Angel school has not been taken into competitions held by the Education Department.

But, it is notable that the Manipay Angel School is roaming as a victorious team.
