Army Releases 133 acre land in Mulaitheevu

The Army yesterday released 133.34 acre lands of people they had occupied yesterday. Out of this 111.5 acre belong to the Kepapulavu people. The District Secretary officially took over these lands yesterday.

This event took place in the Mulaitheevu District Security Forces Head Quarters yesterday presided by the Additional Secretary for Development of the Ministry of Prison Reforms, Reconstruction, Rehabilitation and Hindu Religious Affairs, Senthil Nanthanan. The Army had released  111.5 acre belonging to 85 families in Kepapulavu, and 21.84 acre land belonging to 17 families inSeenimoddai areas, which were under the occupation of the Army had been released yesterday.

The Commander of the SF-Mulaitheevu, Thusyantha Rajaguru, District Secretary, Rupawathy Ketheeswaran, Karaithuraipattu Divisional Secretary,Kunabalan, Officers Commanding and the people participated in this event.
