Basketball Tournament to mark Jaffna Central Bicentenary celebration

A basket ball tournament was held among the schools in Jaffna to mark the bicentenary celebrations of the Jaffna Central College, which completes 200 years (1816-2016).

Northern Province Governor Reginald Cooray was the Chief Guest. 9 boys’ schools and 6 girls’ school took part in this tournament. In boys’ division Jaffna Hindu College won the 1st place and Jaffna Central College was runner up.

In the girls’ division, Vembady Girls High School won the 1st place and Uduvil Girls College was runner up. Secretary to the Governor L.Ilaangovan, principals, teachers and large number of students participated in this event.
