Batti demo against stoning Lankan housemaid to death

A large round tom beating demonstration was held in Batticaloa today against the alleged punishment meted out to a Sri Lankan housemaid to stone her to death.

The demonstration was held by representatives of the Women’s Organizations in Batticaloa. It was street demonstration demanding the authorities to take necessary steps to save the Lankan maid.
