Bishop concerned about votes splitting
Jaffna Bishop expressed his concern regarding the likelihood of Tamil votes splitting and insisted on establishing the unity of the Tamils, in a meeting with members of the TNA, Mawai, Sumanthiran and Arnold, yesterday evening.
He said at the outset that a lot of parties are meeting him and the JVP had met him yesterday and requested him to request the government to solve the problem of the Tamil people, said Arnold after the meeting.
“The bishop had expressed his concern on the possibility of Tamil votes being split. When the false propaganda against the TNA leadership some people are propagating was pointed out to the Bishop” Arnold said.
While saying that the TNA should educate people soon and take action to establish TNA, it is notable that, he also had pointed out the criticism that the same people who contested in the past are contesting now also.
