It’s a breach of Election Law to offer temple premises for election propaganda, says Courts

The Mallakam Court has made aware the priest of the Mavidapuram Kanthaswamy Kovil that offering the temple premises to the election propaganda of  some of Tamil National Council is itself a breach of the laws of the Election Commission. It was reported earlier that the temple premises was used to hold a meeting in which the Election Manifesto of a party was made public.

The Priest of the Temple was called to the Mallakam courts yesterday, relevant to the above report. The AALs who appeared for the priest said that the priest was released after being instructed to be careful of breaching election law.

Meanwhile, it is notable that, the Temple faction has said that there is no connection between the temple administration and the publication of the Election Manifesto.
