Buddhist Monks have buried the Democracy of Sri Lanka, Says former CM, Wigneswaran

Former CM and Leader of Tamil People Kooddany, C.V.Wigneswaran has said yesterday the Buddhist Monks had buried deep, the Democracy of Sri Lanka. In a moment when the Sinhala, Buddhist chauvinism is preying on the Muslim brethren, Tamil people are embracing them with comfort and love and participate in their distress.

At a time when the sight of the Sinhala, Buddhist chauvinism which had hitherto gobbled  Tamils as prey, has turned onto the Muslims now, the current situation has indicated that,  a necessity has risen for the Tamil and Muslim people must get together and work to form an autonomic structure to rule themselves in the North and East.  Only such a structure will ensure the security of both societies.

A dangerous situation exists now , where the influence of the Buddhist monks in politics have grown so much as to dismiss Muslim Ministers and Governors. The demands and fasting protests of our Tamil people were not taken into account by the Governments which came to power one after the other, he has said.
