Call to benevolent hearts- Help needed for 360 Woman leadership families in Mul/Manthai

During the resettlement after the end of the war in Mulaitheevu/Manthai East Divisional Secretaries Area, 9,196 members of 2,932 families have been re-settled so far. In this context, 360 Woman Leadership families which have lost their leaders in war and otherwise, are living in Manthai East DS division, amidst several crises and large scale economic affectations, said the Manthai East Divisional Secretary, E. Rames.

Clarifying further he said that, these families are living in 15 GS divisions with no employment opportunities for their livelihood and fighting against the poverty. Lack of resources for buying school equipment and Bicycles have forced several students to drop out from school.

Benevolent individuals and the Diaspora Tamils could get together in providing things like High quality cows and goats to create livelihood for them.

He also requested that any person or organization could contact our office at TP numbers: 024 324 8098 or 021 390 0606 , obtain the details of these families and directly distribute reliefs he said.
