We can free ourselves of oppression only if we shed the differences among us: says Fr. Emmanuel

We can free ourselves of oppression only if we shed the differences among us: says Fr. Emmanuel

There are special duties and responsibilities for our politicians and leaders. Without being persons who try to bring down each other, we all should cooperate for our ideals, like the players of a Foot Ball team who work together towards a goal post, said Rev.Fr. Emmanuel.

41st commemoration of Thanthai Selva was held at the Thanthai Selva Memorial in Jaffna yesterday. He said as above speaking in this event. It is not adequate, to hold protests pooling all our resources but we should free us from the differences and the oppressions that had rooted deeply among our society.

My humble request is that we should cooperate for our objective. It is not advisable to hand over everything into the hands of politicians. All types of Leaders in the society are bound to play their respective roles properly. As we are keeping silent some politicians are forsaking the interest of the people and carry on in their selfish ways.

As a journalist for three years, I wish to call upon the owners and Chief Editors of media to respect the holy struggle for ideal of the people. The approaches of our struggle may change but the conviction and contributions are important he said.
