Case of assault on TNA members made at Kayts, transferred from Trincomalee to Jaffna

The case of the assault made on TNA Members at Kayts in November, 2001, on a team of TNA members including Mawai Senathyrajah, and M.K.Sivajilinkam, had been transferred from Trincomalee to Jaffna High Courts.

On the 28th November2001, a group of TNA members, including Mawai Senathyrasa and  M.K. Sivajilinkam in Kayts, Jaffna was attacked.
Sebastian Ramesh alias Napolean, Nadarajah Mathanarajh alias Mathan, Anton Sivarajah alias Jeevan and Namasivayam Karunakaramoorthy were charged on 47 counts in the Trincomalee Court by the Attorney General. Now the Attorney General had informed Jaffna High Court that this case is being transferred to Jaffna High courts.
The High court judge Illancheliyan had requested the Trincomalee judge to send the documents connected with the  case to Jaffna Courts and the case will be open once the documents are received, it is said.
