The case in which charges of damaging the Fisheries and Aqua resources Department in Mulaitheevu, filed against 7 persons including the former NPC member T.Raviharan has been postponed March 12th.
The fishermen of Mulaitheevu District undertook a protest Rally on 2018.08.2nd . They proceeded to the Fisheries and Aqua resources Department in Mulaitheevu for the purpose of handing over their demands, the officials of the Department failed to pay any attention to the Fishermen at their gate for a long time which ended in the office buildings being damaged.
The undertaking inquiries regarding the damages, filed a case against 7 persons including the former NPC member T.Raviharan. All 7 were arrested, produced before the Mulaitheevu courts and released on bail.
This case was taken up yesterday and following all 7 accused being present in the court , the case was postponed to March 12th.
