Chandrika should leave the post, insist Suresh Premachandran

The Leader of EPRLF, Suresh Premachandran had said that the former President and the Head of the Reconciliation Task Force for creating Unity among the Races, should leave that post immediately. A Stage  for opinions under the aegis of Action  Centre for the Right of Living of the Tamil People, under a theme of “ Geneva Arena and the Tamil Leaderships”. Suresh premachandran said so, speaking in this event.

Elaborating further he said, the problems of the people affected by the war remain unsolved to date. In a context where the Tamil people are demanding for appropriate investigations should be held on war crimes, the former President had said in public stages that they will not allow any investigations against the Forces men.  How could such a person create reconciliation? Hence Chandrika should leave that Task Force.

Draft law for the Missing is on the way. It will be tabled with amendments. War Crimes have been perpetrated in Sri Lanka.International Investigation is needed to inquire about them. Multi-national judges had to be inducted in to this. But when arrangements are being made for this in Geneva, Leader of the state had said in Jaffna itself that they will not allow for them. Granting of 2 years’ time will not bear any fruit. After the end of the two years, the Leadership of TNA will say that the government had hoodwinked them. Even now itself, an MP had started telling that we cannot do anything having antagonized the super powers.

Attorney at Law A.Jothyligam said that it is disheartening that TNA representative had not gone to Geneva this time. At least the CM could have gone. It would given much pressure that is needed.
