Conference of Attorney Generals inaugurated

The Conference of the Attorney Generals was inaugurated by President Maithripala Sirisena at the BMICH on January 19. Attorney General Yuwanjana Wijetileke gave the welcome address. Prime Minister Ranil Wickremasinghe delivered the keynote address.

The theme of the Conference held to mark the 130 th anniversary of the Attorney General’s Office in Sri Lanka is ‘ The Role of the Attorney General in the Changing Asia’. Justice Minister Wijedasa Rajapakse and Justice K.Siripavan were among the guests present. Representatives from 16 countries in the South, South East, West Asia regions participated.
