Confession of ” Sinhala Kotti”( Sinhala Tiger) rejected by Jaffna Court

An army officer, Capt.Athuru Kanga Nanthage Inthika Sanjeewa, was arrested during the ceasefire days in 2005 while returning home after worshiping at Nallur Temple at Omanthai check point.

He was accused that he met LTTE in Jaffna,  inquired and released after 3 days. But  as he had been suspected wrongly he left the Army and was working with a private firm. When he tried to go to Malaysia for employment he was deported from Malaysia, arrested by TID at Katunayake and a case was filed against him in the Jaffna High Court, accusing him of selling Military secrets to LTTE for Rs.50,000/= with a confession as the only evidence.

The High Court Judge M.Ilancheliyan rejected the confession and postponed the case to next 18th and instructed the police to inform court whether there are any further evidence against the accused. Attorney at Law, Mudiyappu  Remidius appeared for the accused.
