Corona positive in one person quarantined in Pampaimadu centre

Corona infection has been confirmed on one person currently quarantined in the Corona Quarantine Centre at Pampaimadu , Vavuniya.

More than 200 Navy officers serving at Welisara Navy Camp have been detected with Corona infection. Following this the officers serving in the Welsara Campand their relatives are being brought under quarantine.

216 persons including Navy Officers and their relatives were brought recently to the Quarantine centre established at Pampaimadu.

IN this context,PCR tests are being conducted on the quarantined persons. The father of a Navy officer serving in Welisara Camp has been identified positive to Corona. He is a resident of Sevenagala area.
