Court bans hindrances to University of Jaffna

Jaffna Magistrate Court has ordered The President and members of the Jaffna University Employees union not to block the Ramanathan Hall and to act in a way hindering the Staff or the students of the University.

This order was made on a complaint by the Registrar at the Kopay Police Station because of the struggle of the employees union. The OIC of the Kopay Police station brought to the notice of the Court that nearly 25 persons including the President of the Employees Union Sri Nadaraj Kalaraj have congregated blocking the entrance to Ramanathan Hall.

This order says that the president and the members of the union should act in a way not to hinder the staff and Students of the University and no damage is caused to the Buildings and property of the University.
