Court orders to argue the full case in the Damage to Thiruketheeswaram Arch Case

The court had ordered to argue the full case on the demolition of Thiruketheeswaram Arch.

Two criminal cased were taken up at the Mannar Magistrate Court and a case relevant to the warrant in the Mannar High Court was taken up before, High Court Judge Sahabdeen yesterday.

In the case relevant to the warrant, AAL Sumanthiran assisted by AALs Sayanthan, S.K. Puranthiran, Kanesharajan, Ragul, Miss. Purathany, and  Tharmaraj Vinothan,  appeared for the 23rd  Respondent, the Joint Secretary of the Temple,  S.Ramakrishnan and 24th Respondent, the Thiruketheeswaram Temple.

Presidential Counsel Riyansi and Arasakularatne appeared for the Respondent.

AAL Selvarajah Maneshan appeared for the 1st to 22nd respondents , the members of the Mannar Pradeshiya Sabha.

During the yesterday’s hearing court granted permission to correction to the title of the Respondents.

In a context where the police had filed further Report, time was granted till October to file charge sheet and the case was postponed to 26.10.2020.
