The Jafna Magistrate had announced yesterday that he will make an order on 24th regarding revoking the Ban order on Thileepan Commemoration or allowing it to continue.
The case filed by Jaffna Police calling for a ban on Thileepan Commemoration was taken up for hearing yesterday morning.
Attorney at Law Sri kantha appearing for the respondents, pointed out that the Police had erroneously filed the case under section 160 and requested the commemoration be allowed to be held.
Police faction putting forward their stance pointed out that Thileepan is a member of the LTTE and requested that the commemoration should not be allowed. They also said that public is going to be brought from other districts without their consent.
After hearing the submissions of both sides the Magistrate announced that decision will be delivered on 24th .
