Danger of Corona Virus spreading in North, warns Government Medical Officers’ Association
The Health services has warned that a second wave of Corona Virus may affect Sri Lanka soon. They have said that situation might be created by Indian traders illegally entering the North.
If that happens a dangerous situation may be created, the Government Medical Officers’ Association has warned further.
Corona suspects identified in Sri Lanka have been quarantined and the situation brought under control. However, identifying illegal entrants is a massive problem. In a context where Corona has not been controlled yet in India, if the illegal entrants are not prevented, a dangerous situation would develop in Sri Lanka, the GMOA has warned.
