Demonstration against catching Beach de mer in Vadamaradchchi

A demonstration against the catching of beach der in the Northern seas is to be held in Vadamaradchchi today.

It is notable that permission is restricted for local fishermen, Southern fishermen with permits from the Ministry of Fisheries and Aqua Resources, are catching beach de mer in the Northern seas, robbing the resources that reach the hands of the Northern Fishermen.

The above demonstration is to be held in front of the Vadamaradchchi Division Secretariat today at 10.30 a.m.

The Organizers of this demonstration, The Union of Vadamaradchchi East Fisheries Cooperative Societies  have invited the 15 Fisheries Development Cooperative Societies including the Vadamaradchchi Society, area and village level organizations, social enthusiasts and all fishermen to participate in this attention drawing demonstration.
