Details of people under detention will be published: Mano Ganeshan

Democratic Peoples’ Front  Leader Mano Ganesan requested in the National Executive Council yesterday to make him available with the list of people arrested under suspicion, and detained  under the Prevention of Terrorism Act, by the Terrorism  Interdiction  Division(TID) of the Police, Intelligence units,  and in the camps of the armed Forces.

When The Executive Council meeting resumed yesterday , as per the request of Mano Ganesan, a list of people details of detainees detained in prisons all over Sri Lanka was tabled.Following this Mano Ganesan called for the list of people arrested under suspicion, and detained under the Prevention of Terrorism Act, by the Terrorism  Interdiction  Division(TID) of the Police, Intelligence units,  and in the camps of the armed Forces.

Accepting this request, the President ordered the Secretary of the National Executive Council, Thilak Ranavirajah, to get these particulars from Police and Defence Ministries and submit them to the council.
