While saying that, discussions will be made with Sri Lankan Government and Delhi regarding the economical needs of the Northern Province, the Indian Envoy to Sri Lanka, Tharanjith Singh Santhu also said that, if proper plans will be drawn, we will offer our cooperation to the Economical Development of the Northern Province and he had requested the CM, NPC to handover any development project that is available to them.
The Indian Envoy who is on a visit to the North, met the NPC CM, C.V.Wigneswaran at his Kaithady office yesterday and held discussions with him. The Indian Envoy had said as above during the above meeting. Meanwhile the CM complained to the Envoy that the Central Government is reluctant to approve the CM’s Fund.
Commenting on the meeting later, the CM said that the Envoy promised to get his government to help the Development projects of the Northern Province. He seemed to be more interested in economy rather than politics. Political doctrines may change from time to time but, we had due action should be taken for economical development.
He also pointed out that although the Indian Government has offered 50 All-paid Scholarships on 4 had applied and to make more people apply for the Scholarships.
