Dispute at Neeraviyadi Pillaiyar Temple premises – case postponed to March 22nd

A dispute was created by the Buddhist monk who had encroached the Temple premises of Mulaitheevu Nayaru Neeravi Pillaiyaradi Temple premises to the area people who went to the temple premises on 14.01.2019 to offer Thaipongal worship at the temple.   A case was filed by the Mulaitheevu police saying peace was disturbed at the spot.

The said case was taken up yesterday for order but was postponed to 22 March for order.

Another case also had been filed saying that the worshipers threatened the Buddhist monk and caused damage to Archaeological Dept. assets.

It was stated by the worshipers that when the Temple name board was changed we complained to the police and the police did not take any action.  The court announced that the orders for both cases will be delivered  on the 22nd.
