Don’t sacrilege Sivanrathri at Keerimalai with Paddimantram – Hindu Council, High Expenditure, cannot stop: Indian Consular

The Hindu Religious Council has requested the Indian Consul in Jaffna to stop the Paddimantram to be held in Keerimalai under the aegis of Indian Consulate. The council has requested the consul not to sacrilege the Sivanrathri , which is holy to Hindus .

This request has been sent to Consular, A. Nadarajan, through a letter by the Secretary of the Council, S.Sakthykreevan.

We are highly concerned about the event to be held in Keerimalai Temple. Without  causing sacrilege by holding the event, it would have been better if Aatheena priests and Othuvar moorthies  and Dance artists were brought here on the holy day.

Please make arrangements to hold this event on another day, he has said in his letter.

However,  the consulate has said that the event cannot  be stopped as it has been organized  costing a Crore  Rupees.  This has been said to the representatives of the Council who participated in a meeting held at the consulate.
