I don’t think that there is any likelihood of a solution for Tamils, says M.A.Sumanthiran

TNA MP and Spokesman, M.A.Sumanthiran had said that the current political crisis prevailing in the country will make a negative impact on the attempt to find a political solution for of the Tamil people.

he had said this inan interview granted by him to an English Weekly published in Colombo.

Elaborating further he said that it is a tradition in world countries that the Prime Minister will usually resign on a no-confidence motion is adopted against his government. Mahindha with no majority at all was appointed as the Prime Minister contravening the Law. President has no power to appoint a Prime Minister like this.

However the other parties waited to see whether he could prove his majority. Even after several bargaining and buying off MPs, he could not prove his Majority.

Now attempts are being made to remain in power by force. If a question is asked whether, the attempts to find a solution to the problems of the Tamils will meet any setbacks, the answer could be that it will definitely meet setback, he said.
