We don’t want such experiences: Jaffna Bishop on serial bomb blasts

We are shocked and sorrowed by the serial bomb blasts that had occurred on Easter Sunday, in the country. Whichever religion the victims belong, I pray that they rest in peace in the presence of almighty, The Bishop of Jaffna Diocese, Rt. Rev. Justin Gnanapragasam had said in his condolence message regarding the serial bomb blasts.

More than 228  persons including 32 foreigners lost their lives in the serial bomb blasts in 8 places including 3 churches . More than 450 have been injured in these blasts.

These bomb blasts which are deemed to have been undertaken with apolitical motive after the 3 decades of war, are highly condemnable said the Bishop. We express our condolence to the families, who had members lost or injured. We join these families in prayer and may God give strength to them to bear this distress, he had said.
