Eastern Province beats Northern Province in “ Cricket of the Blind”

In a 30 – overs Cricket match organized jointly by the Social Service Departments of the Northern and Eastern Provincial councils, the Eastern Province team had beaten the Northern Province to claim the Champion Trophy.

This match was held at the Chulipuram Victoria College grounds last Sunday. Put into bat first, the Easter Blind persons’ team scored256 runs for the loss of 7 wickets.The Northern team in reply could score only 240 runs for six wickets at the end of 30 overs.Sathees of the Eastern team was selected as the ‘Man of the Match’
