Compared to the levels in February the months following it showed that the effects are receding. Arrangements for continuous monitoring are made in Uduvil, Thellipalai, Kopay, Chankanai and sandilipay MOH divisions.
It is expected to alleviate the fears of the general public regarding contamination of underground water resources. Every three months samples will be drawn from the same well in each of the MOH division will be tested and it is planned to continue this for 2 to 5 years. If there is any change in the quality of water, the general public will be notified, it is said.
