Emergency Ambulance Service launched; Ranil flags off

The Emergency Ambulance Service being implemented through Indian grant assistance of around US$ 7.55 million was launched yesterday. It is to be implemented through Indian grant assistance of around US$ 7.55 million. The service covers the Western and Southern Provinces of Sri Lanka.

Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe flagged off the service. Health Minister Rajitha Senarathne, Indian High Commissioner Y.K. Sinha and Deputy Foreign Minister, Harsha de Silva were present at the event held at the Galle Face Green in Colombo today. A message by Indian Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi was delivered through a video message.
