Even if you had been indifferent to us, we will never abandon you, says Minister Johnston in Jaffna

Minister   Johnston Fernando said day before yesterday that even though the Tamil people had not voted for the Government, they would integrate the northern people in Development without any discrimination.

The discussion on the National Programme for development of Rural Economy was held day before yesterday at the Jaffna Secretariat. The Minister said as above while speaking at this meeting.

Elaborating further, he said that Jaffna is a district where low votes have been polled by the Government. However the structure  of President – Prime Minister – Government is undertaking these works not expecting votes. We are not undertaking projects on the basis of votes, he said.
