The fast unto death struggle of 8 TPPs detained A’pura prison, demanding their release after short term Rehabilitation, entered its 8th day yesterday.
4 TPPs were transferred to the Prison hospital following their health deteriorating. Although several promises were given whenever they undertook fasting protest, however no such promises were fulfilled in the past. Their prolonging cases are also not being concluded expedited, the TPPs said.
The AG is on a visit abroad and when he returns to the country on Tuesday, negotiation will be undertaken regarding the release of the TPPs, the TNA spokesman Sumanthiran said.
