First National Medal in the Badminton Championship to North
In the Badminton Championship held by the Sri Lanka Badminton Federation, Northern shuttlers won a Bronze Medal, in the Men’s Doubles event.
It is notable that, in the history of Sri Lanka’s Badminton history this is the first ever medal won by the North.
In match held for the 3rd place of the Men’s Doubles, held in the in-door stadium of the Federation, day before yesterday, Rominmson and Thusanthan, representing the North won the match and the Bronze medal in straight sets of 21: 14 and 21: 13
