Fisheries Minister in Jaffna meets fishermen

Minister of Fisheries Mahinda Amaraweera who is currently on a visit to Jaffna met representatives of the Jaffna fishermen’s societies yesterday. He listened to their problems and promised necessary action.

Minister Amaraweera assured the Northern fishermen that Sri Lanka will discuss a solution with India on the issue of Indians poaching in Sri Lankan waters. State Minister Vijayakala Maheswaran, Tamil National Alliance Jaffna Parliamentarian M.A.Sumanthiran and Northern Provincial Councilor Suhirthan were present.
