Following revenging acts by CM & ITAK will decline Minister Posts

As the CM is acting in a revenging mode, the ITAK has decided to decline any Minister Post when new Ministers are to be appointed. Party sources informed.

The PC Members of the party met yesterday in Jaffna and took this decision after around 1 ½ hours discussion. It was also decided that P. Sathiyalingam who holding a post in PC cabinet also should resign.

This decision has been taken just 24 hours after the Leaders of the TNA’s constituent Parties agreed to accept the sole authority of the CM for appointing his Ministers. The ITAK was not satisfied with the decision taken at the Party Leaders. Following this meeting the ITAK members of the PC met at the ITAK Head Office in Martyn Road, Jaffna led by the party President Mawai Senathyrasa at around 5 p.m.

Mawai has said there that, the CM acting and speaking in a way to side line the ITAK.  ITAK respects the Right of the CM, but when ministers are to be appointed he takes the opinion of the other Parties but not the ITAK’s.

Hence this decision has been taken, he said.
