Foreigners who had removed parts from  ship sunk in Kallady Seas during Second  World War

Three foreign persons who illegally had removed parts of a shink in Baticaloa/ Kallady seas were arrested by the Navy.

Following information received cy the Navy, three foreigners staying at kallady were arrested yesterday night. Several parts from the engines and diving equipment were captured from them.

Two persons, a father and son, from Germany and one person from Austria had first stayed in Negombo and then had travelled to Kallady in a Pick – up to carry out the Diving.

It is notable that they have been visiting Kallady for 7 years to engage in this driving operation.
