Former President Accuses Present Sri Lankan Government of ‘Dictatorship

Former President Mahinda Rajapaksa has accused the present Government of being dictatorial.

He made this observation while speaking at a meeting held in Homagama.

The Government lied to the people in a bid to take the power,” he charged. He also severely condemned the decision of the President and former President Chandrika Kumaratunga to attend the 70th Convention of the United National Party (UNP). “They have betrayed the policy of Bandaranayke’s,” Rajapaksa added.
