Foundation stones laid for 120 houses for Muslims in Mullaitheevu

Foundation stones were laid for building houses for 120 Muslim families of Mulaitheevu District. This event was held Hijrapuram in Mulaitheevu yesterday morning. One or two Tamil families had been taken into this scheme , it is reported.

The funds for the scheme are to be provided by a wealthy person of United Arab Emeritus. These houses are to be provided to 120 families which got displaced from Hijrapuram due to the civil war and resettled after 2009. It is learnt that these houses are being constructed by arrangement of Minister Rishad Badiuddin on a request from the NPC Member, Y. Jenofer.

The Private Secretary of Minister Rishad, Tipkan Badiuddin , NPC Member, Y.Jenofer, Coordinator for obtaining the housing scheme, Mohamed Raub, the Coordinating Secretary of the Minister, M.H.Mujaheer, and the father of the Minister, Rishad Badiuddin  participated in this event and laid the foundation stones. However, neither the Government Officials nor the Members of the NPC representing the District were informed or invited for the event. Only people connected to the Minister participated in the event, it is reported.
