Ampalapperumal Kulam and Ampalavan Sinnakkaddu kulam are found to be the lifeline of agricultural activities of the village.
As from 2009, relevant officials had been continuously informed by the villager with no avail. The villagers request the Mulaitheevu District Secretariat, Thunnukkai Divisional Secretariat and Grama Officer of the Ampalapperumal Kulam should take action to construct anti-salination dikes and to make soil testing and to provide the results of the tests to people.
