The Leader of the Forward Socialist Party, Kumar Kunaratnam raised question in Jaffna yesterday, as to whether Gotabhaya Rajapakse will be able to come to the North in context where, he had informed the Jaffna Court yesterday that, he is unable attend court due to security concerns.
He said so in a media conference he held in Jaffna Public Library Canteen, yesterday while on a visit to Jaffna to attend the Lalith – Kugan case in Jaffna Courts.
Elaborating further, he said, that in a context where, their operatives Lalith and Kugan were on a visit to Jaffna to find out about persons made to disappear, they were abducted by unidentified persons off Atchuvely area.
Although, 8 years have passed after their abduction, nothing had been found out about them and the relatives had filed a case in Jaffna Court. Although, time had been granted to Gota three times, the former Defence Secretary had failed to attend court.
He has said in court that he has no security to come to Jaffna.
How could he attend his election campaign in Jaffna, when he is saying so the court, asked Kunaratnam.
