Government faction agrees for building Pillaiya Temple at Kanniya, says Sumanthiran

The TNA MP and President’s Counsel, M.A.Sumanthiran has said that the Government faction had agreed for the construction of Pillaiyar Kovil at Kanniya Hot springs area in Trincomalee.

A meeting with the TNA members of the Local Government Bodies and party supporters was held day before yesterday at the Office of the MP, Kovinthan Karunakaram, at Batticaloa.

Speaking to media men after the above meeting, Sumanthiran said that, in a case regarding construction of Pillaiyar Kovil at Kanniya, the Government faction had agreed for construction of the Pillaiyar Kovil at Kanniya. They also had promised that Dagoba will not be built.

The site of the temple is to be decided and this is a great progress,  he said.
