If the Government opens its mouth on Missing, it will a problem for it: C.V.Wigneswaran

If the Government opens its mouth on Missing, it will a problem for it: C.V.Wigneswaran

If the Government or the Armed Forces say that they had arrested, missing persons, killed them or we are detaining them in such and such place, it will confirm that serious crimes have been perpetrated. They also know very well what will happen to those who had perpetrated the crimes. That is why this government is keeping mum over the missing persons, said the NPC CM, C.V.Wigneswaran.

The struggle of the relatives of the missing people who are engaged in their struggle under temporary tents in front of the Mulaitheevu District Secretariat had entered its 44th day yesterday. In this context the  CM yesterday met the people and said as above while speaking to them.

The above continuous struggle has been undertaken demanding the government to answer about those who were abducted and made to disappear during war days, those who were handed over to the Army and thereafter made to disappear. He also requested the people to give any evidence they have in writing so that he could make them useful.

He emphasised with them that we could put up a person who is actually sleeping but not those who feign a sleep.Their problem is , how punish our own people and hence the back dragging he said.
