The Governor could not speak anything on behalf of the Tamil people in Geneva, say Sumanthiran

The Northern Governor Surenthiran should speak only in his capacity as the representative of the President, the TNA has warned. He cannot go beyond that and speak anything about Tamil people they have said. If he speaks about Tamil People immediate alternate action will be taken against him, the spokesman of the TNA, M.A.Sumanthiran has warned.

He said so in a media conference held in Jaffna yesterday.

Elaborating further he said Tamil people need not be worried about him going to Geneva. He is going there as the representative of the President. He will speak there what President had aske him to speak.

That is why the Chief Ministers have recommended that the powers of the Governors completely.

The agent of the President cannot speak anything on behalf of the Northern Tamil people in Geneva. If he do so alternate action will be taken against him, he said.
