Impropriety at Sri Lanka Ayurveda College: students on demonstration for 46 days

The students of the Sri Lanka Ayueveda College located at Chunnakam say that, lot of irregularities are occurring in the SLSA that  they demand solution to their problems and  explanations for their doubts. The students who were engaged in the protest say that they are on their protest for the last 46 days.

Our College operates under North Ceylon Indigeneous Medical Board. The Northern Provincial Council allocates 4.5Million annually. no accounts had bee published. The Diploma Course in being conducted for the last 5 years. This stream had not been approved by the Government. No employment is provided by the Government to our students. But, when we applied for this course we were told that this is an approved course.

A lecturer who was nearby said they are not being paid properly or regularly.

It was understood that the administration had publish the time table for exam 3days before the starting date, despite it being received nearly one month ago. Students say that this is an act of revenging the students.
