Mallkam Courts has directed the Election commission to make inquiries regarding a member of the Election Commission, Rathnajeevan Hool acting partial to a political Party, and writing an article (Big Deal) implicating that the All Ceylon Tamil Congress, courts and the Police acting in conjugation.
Rathnajeevan Hool had complained DIG- North that the police had not properly inquired into charge of a political party holding its propaganda meeting in the premises of Maviddapuram Kovil. Police submitted evidence and photograph and submitted that the party had not violated the election law. 12 AALs, including Sugas, Manivannan , Guruparan, Kandeepan, appeared on behalf of the Temple priest and the Plaintiff of the Original case Sugirthan also appeared in the court and stated in court that he has no further evidence. However Rathnajeevan Hool was not present in the Court.
Guruparan in his submission said the activities of Rathnajeevan Hool is inimical to the faith the people had placed on the judiciary, Police and the Election Commission and that the Election commission be asked to inquire into the activities of Rathnajeevan Hool.
The acquitted the accused and directed that the Commission inquire into the partial activities while being a member of the Commission.
