It is crucial for the Tamil people to forge a genuine revolutionary leadership

It is now an exposed fact (Wikileaks) that Ranil Wickremasinghe entered into the ceasefire agreement in order to disarm and marginalize the LTTE. Towards this end, he brought about a major split in the LTTE. This is why he was supported by the US, EU, Norway and Japan.

It would also be naive and a fatal delusion to expect that Maitripala Sirisena would ever present a democratic political settlement to the National Question, based on recognizing the right of national self-determination of the oppressed Tamil Nation. He stood watch over the last phase of the war! His role is to hoist the banner of Sinhala-Buddhist chauvinism and defend its unitary State, under the cover of a defunct ‘bourgeois liberal’ agenda’, under which every successive regime has unleashed genocidal terror upon the Tamil nation and the oppressed masses, including the oppressed Sinhala masses. His role is to grease the machinery of a failed State in order to open the gates even wider for a new wave of neo-liberal/ imperialist plunder.

It seems that some sections of the Tamil Diaspora are being enticed and deluded by the antics and tactics of the Maitripala-Ranil-Chandrika Regime. This is a continuation of the policy of divide and conquer. Bribing sections of the TNA is part of this same strategy.

Mahinda Rajapakse has the merit of having revealed the true essence of the neo-fascist, chauvinist/ supremacist Capitalist class dictatorship exercised and intensified by every successive regime. Language, slogans and tactics may differ, but the entire ruling class is wedded to the policy of nurturing Sinhala-Buddhist hegemony in order to divide, delude and suppress the masses, including the oppressed Sinhala masses Until this lesson is learnt and applied, we shall forever remain pawns in a deadly game of imperialist chess played out by the rotting neo-colonial State and ruling class.

The LTTE was militarily decimated with the intention of burying the demand for national self-determination in rivers of blood and subjugate the Tamil Nation as never before. This is in the form of enforcing a chauvinist, supremacist, theocratic, hegemonic Unitary Capitalist State and Dictatorship.  The entire ruling class is complicit in this genocidal crime, including primarily the SLFP, UNP, JVP and JHU, and the Maha Sangha which gave its fervent blessings! At present, in general, the Sinhala masses remain trapped in the politics of chauvinism, as they have no real, felt revolutionary alternative. But, this situation can and will change through the unyielding efforts of the genuine revolutionary forces across the Land.

Except for genuine Tamil nationalist forces who remain a minority, the entire Tamil national leadership is guilty of collaboration with this ruling class. This is particularly the case with the “Wellala, landlord-comprador capitalist class. This class is favored by the rulers and by the US and India.

We have consistently stated that the liberation of the Tamil Nation lies in building principled unity with the genuine revolutionary forces in the South who must come together in an anti-imperialist united front for the purpose of overthrowing the Comprador Capitalist State and establishing a People’s Democratic State that shall represent the revolutionary-democratic unity of the people of Lanka, including the oppressed nationalities. We shall continue to work towards this goal at whatever cost and as long as it takes.

All those who have been bribed by Ranil must be thoroughly exposed, named and held accountable to the people.

Beyond that, it is crucial for the Tamil people to forge a genuine revolutionary leadership that shall rely on and mobilize the oppressed masses to resist and overcome oppression, overthrow all oppressors, and win liberation through their own self-reliant struggle.
