Jaffna    District’s Anita breaks her own record in National Open pole Vault Championship

Anitha representing Jaffna district broke her own record and established a new record, in Pole vault in the Women’s open conducted by the National Athletic federation.

 In the National Pole Vault open event for women, held at the Diyagama Mahindha Rajapakse inte3rnational standard Stadium, Anitha representing Jaffna District pole vaulted to a new height of 3.45 Meters to establish a National Record breaking her own record established last year at the Duraiappah Stadium in Jaffna.

In the context of Anitha jumping to a height 3.42 M creating a new record last year, she had broken her own record to create the new record.

*** Jaffna District Men’s team scored a hat trick winning the Provincial level Badminton Championship for the third time in succession.

*** Jaffna St. Patrick’s under 16 team had won the Jaffna Educational Zone Foot-ball champion ship beating the Jaffna Central College in the match played at St.Patrick’s grounds.. Third place was won by St. John’s College, beating Navanthurai RC School.

*** The under 18 team of St. Patrick’s College won the championship Cup in the Under 18 Football tournament of the Jaffna Education Zone, beating Jaffna Central College by 3 : 0. St.John’s College, Jaffna won the 3rd place beating St. Charles’ College.
