Jaffna Educational Region scores unprecedented 1693 points to win the Provincial level Sports meet.
Jaffna Region scored a massive victory scoring 1693 points in the Provincial level sports meet, held on May 9-13th in Vavuniya. No other Regions reached 100 points mark. The contribution of Jaffna Central College is a bit higher than the other schools. NPC Education Minister T.Kurukularajah participated as the Chief Guest and distributed the awards. The placing of the regions are as follows:
1.Jaffna – 1693 points.
2. Valikamam – 970 points.
3. Vadamaradchi – 740 points.
4. Mannar – 601 points.
5. Mullaitheevu – 464 points.
6 – 10 Vavuniya South,Kilinochchi,
