Jaffna sweeps the Board in Hammer throw in Youth Sports Festival

Northern athletes swept the board in under 20 Hammer throw  and under 18 Pole Vault events winning all three places in the respective events.

** It is notable that S.Herina broke the 3M record set up by J.Anitha of the same school in 2013.

***Tharsinee Sivalingam said to be the tallest Netball player in the world had scored 65 points of the 66 points scored by her club St.Albans of Australia.

Tharsinee had signed with the St.Albans. She had gone to Australia and playing in the tournament that is being held there now. Her club St.Albans played match against St.Mary’s day before yesterday and won by 66:53 with Tharsinee scoring 65 points.

*** Kurunagar (Jaffna) Singing Fish Club won a match against Sri Lanka Police team in the tie breaker by 4:1 goals, in FA Cup tournament series played at Police Park, Colombo..
