Karaveddy Rajakiramam locked down- 60 families in Compulsory quarantine, says NP Director of Health A.Ketheeswaran

The Northern Province Director of Health, A. Ketheeswaran said yesterday that, Rajakiramam in Karaveddy of Karaveddy Divisional Area has been locked down under the Quarantine Act.

No one will be permitted to enter or leave the said village he said.

The NP Director of Health announced this in a media conference he held yesterday.

Three persons from Point Pedro and Karaveddy who had visited the Peliyagoda Fish Market has been identified positive to Corona. One of them was from Rajakiramam and he had moved with several persons in the village.

In this context, Rajakiramam has been quarantined to prevent spread of Corona. People belonging to around 60 families have been quarantined there and PCR test will be done on him. Similarly PCR test will be done on persons quarantined in Kurunagar and Passaioyoor, said the Director of Health.
